Meet Dr. Jose Roque
Dr. Jose Roque - Founder of 941 Dental Studio
Dr. Jose Roque is the heart behind 941 Dental Studio and a proud Sarasota native who has been serving the smiles of his hometown for over a decade. Born and raised in this vibrant coastal community, Dr. Roque’s journey into dentistry was sparked during his sophomore year at Booker High School. Though he once dreamed of becoming a lawyer, a vocational interest test opened his eyes to the field of dentistry. After shadowing local dentists and immersing himself in hands-on experiences after school, he knew he had found his true calling.
His high school yearbook still carries the testament under “When I Grow Up”:
“I’ll be a dentist working in my own practice.”
Today, that dream is a reality brought to life at 941 Dental Studio.

From 2021 to 2024, Dr. Roque served as adjunct faculty in the restorative department at LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Lakewood Ranch, mentoring third-year dental students and guiding them through the foundational skills of general dentistry. Although his formal faculty role concluded in 2024, his commitment to education remains strong. Dr. Roque continues to welcome dental students into his practice, offering shadowing opportunities, one-on-one mentorship, and real-world insight to those eager to learn and grow.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Roque lives life in stride with Sarasota’s laidback charm. He’s a skilled home cook, an outdoor enthusiast, and can often be found exploring nature or staying active with his dog, Samoa. Whether in the operatory or out in the community, Dr. Roque’s heart beats for Sarasota, and every patient he treats is a reminder of why he came home to serve.
